Command the frontier.

KhanBMS is building the operating system for autonomous warfare — and we are extending that architecture to the next domain: the lunar surface.

Global Aerospace & Defense Software Market

The global aerospace and defense software market is valued at approximately $55 billion in 2025, and is projected to grow at a CAGR of 7–9% through 2030. By the end of the decade, software will represent over $80 billion in annual spending within the broader defense sector.

Battlefield management systems (BMS) constitute one of the fastest-growing sub-segments, driven by the shift to collaborative combat aircraft (CCA), unmanned swarms, and autonomous ground systems — all requiring real-time C2 orchestration that legacy platforms cannot provide.

Why KhanBMS works on the Moon

The Mongolian decimal command structure — ten soldiers per arban, ten arbans per zuun, ten zuuns per minghan, ten minghans per tumen — was built to solve the exact problem lunar colonization faces: operating across vast distances with limited bandwidth and no centralized command post.

On the Moon, the round-trip latency to Earth is 2.6 seconds minimum. Real-time Earth-side control of surface drones, rovers, and autonomous construction systems is impossible. KhanBMS's tiered autonomy model delegates decision-making to the edge — arban-level units operate independently, zuun-level nodes coordinate local swarms, and tumen-level nodes manage theater-wide resource allocation without waiting for Earth.

NASA's Artemis program and the growing constellation of commercial lunar ventures (Intuitive Machines, Blue Origin, SpaceX) will need C2 software that treats the Moon not as an extension of Earth, but as a contested, contested theater with its own tempo and topology. KhanBMS is the first BMS architecture designed natively for that reality.
