STANAG 4586
NATO standard interface for unmanned-aircraft control stations and platforms.
Definition
STANAG 4586 defines the messages, control levels (LOI 1-5), and interface architecture used between an Unmanned Control Station (UCS) and an unmanned aircraft, plus the C4I systems that consume its data. It is the lingua franca for NATO interoperability of legacy and current Group 3-5 UAS, including Predator/Reaper-class platforms. CCA programs increasingly map STANAG 4586 onto richer UCI/OMS exchanges to maintain coalition interoperability.
