Multiple Hypothesis Tracking/ MHT

Definition

MHT carries multiple competing hypotheses about how measurements associate with tracks, pruning low-likelihood branches as evidence accumulates. It is robust in high-clutter, dense-target environments and is the basis for many modern airborne and naval tracking systems.
