MADL is a directional, low-probability-of-intercept datalink originally fielded on the F-35 to enable stealth-compatible flight-of-four coordination. Its directional antennas and waveform design preserve aircraft low-observability while exchanging fused track data among formation members. MADL is a reference architecture for stealth-compatible CCA teaming links.
