Single Channel Ground and Airborne Radio System/ SINCGARS
Legacy U.S. VHF combat-net radio family with FHSS anti-jam mode.
Definition
SINCGARS is the workhorse VHF combat-net radio family of the U.S. Army, supporting a frequency-hopping anti-jam mode for resilient voice and limited data. Although being supplanted by software-defined platforms, SINCGARS remains widely fielded and is a baseline interoperability waveform across allied formations.
