Sim-to-Real Transfer

Set of techniques for porting policies trained in simulation to physical hardware.

Definition

Sim-to-real transfer combines domain randomization, system identification, and bounded run-time assurance to deploy policies trained in simulation onto hardware with acceptable performance loss. It is the dominant production path for learned components in autonomous wingmen, where flight-test data is scarce relative to simulation data.
